Too much time sitting can lead to problems
Today's question comes to us from the membership site from Mary and she asks: Do you have any classes for those of us who spend too much time sitting. That is always something I need.
That is a great question Mary. I have lots of classes that are a great antidote to too much sitting.
Yoga for grounding. Yoga for sciatica. Happy hips. Hips and Hamstrings. Yoga for Posture.... and even Feet First.
One of the best yoga postures for people who spend too much time sitting is lunge pose because it opens up your psoas muscle (your hip flexors) from being in that constant state of contraction from sitting all the time.
Another great pose to practice if you sit a lot is plank pose because sitting weakens your core muscles especially your abdominals and low back.

Although they may want to get into shape, many people are reluctant to start. They may lack the needed motivation, or just be lost on how to get started. It's best to start out with fun in mind! These methods will help you accomplish this.

Having exercise clothes that look good on you can keep you motivated. There are a ton of fun colors and styles in workout clothing that makes working out fun. Put some time into choosing your workout clothes, so that you will feel excited about getting ready to exercise.
You'll soon be bored if you follow the same workout regime week in and week out. If you view your exercise routine as drudgery, you are unlikely to remain committed to it. Switching it up is a key maneuver to keeping your routines exciting and new. You must be certain you keep your workout fun so that you don't quit. Once you get out of a routine, it will be hard for you to start again.
Frequent rewards keep you motivated to reach your final goals. No matter if the milestone is a major one or a minor one, you have earned a treat. You stuck it out and achieved it! Spend some family time together or reward yourself with a small portion of a beloved dessert. Perhaps treat yourself to a brand new outfit to celebrate a significant weight loss goal. Sticking to a goal is easier if you give yourself a reward every time you reach a goal.
You don't have to find exercising monotonous or boring. With a good frame of mind and a positive approach, you will have a lot of fun. Use these ideas and get your body into great shape.
